UPVC water supply pipes are widely used in daily life, so "UPVC water supply pipe leakage" is a common problem.
Minor leaks at adhesive joints: For leaks at adhesive bonding joints, an adhesive repair method can be used. This method requires first draining the water from the pipe and creating negative pressure inside. Then, apply adhesive to the leaking area. Due to the negative pressure, the adhesive is drawn into the gap, stopping the leak.
Using pipe clamps: If the leak is a small hole, the crack can be cut open, the water drained, and a trench dug to a certain length to allow the pipe to be lifted. The cut edge of the pipe is chamfered with a file, adhesive is applied, and the pipe clamp is inserted into the trench. If the leak is a longer crack, the leaking section can be cut off, one clamp connected first, and then another clamp connected using the same method.
For small-area damage or cracks in pipes caused by external forces, where the surrounding physical properties remain unchanged, adhesive patching can be used. The method is as follows: Drain the water from the pipe and roughen the surface of the damaged area; cut a section of pipe of the same diameter, taking half of it (covering an area larger than the damaged area), clean and roughen the inside of the selected section, apply adhesive to the surface of the damaged area and the inside of the selected patch, press the patch firmly onto the damaged area, and secure it with pipe clamps or two layers of wire.
For leaks at the gasket between the flange and the gate valve, the pipe sections at both ends of the gate valve must be adjusted to the same horizontal line as the gate valve before evenly and symmetrically tightening the bolts.
