Generally, the inner diameter of the conduit should be greater than or equal to 150% of the outer diameter of the cable. Higher voltage levels require conduits with larger inner diameters. Conduits with high ring stiffness should be used when crossing roads, under bridges, or under riverbeds. In special environments (such as chemical plants and power plants), high ring stiffness conduits should be selected. Conduits with lower ring stiffness (i.e., thinner walls) can be used under green belts, sidewalks, residential areas, and non-driving lanes in industrial and mining enterprises to save investment. For conduits with special performance requirements, these must be specified to the manufacturer for production according to user requirements.
CPVC power conduits can be equipped with conduit supports according to road engineering requirements, with an average spacing of 1.5-2m. The conduit is generally 6m long and should be installed in layers according to the construction drawings. Two people can work together to install the conduit from both ends. Install the sealing ring provided by the conduit manufacturer at the flared end of the conduit. Apply soapy water or water-based lubricant to the inner wall of the sealing ring and the outer wall of the conduit insertion end. Do not use lubricating oil for lubrication. The sleeve insertion end has an installation marking line, ensuring that the joint will not leak even under high groundwater levels. Two people work together using a pipe inserter to insert the pipe to the limit line. Alternatively, a large wooden board can be placed under the other end of the sleeve, and it can be tapped evenly with a sledgehammer. Due to the considerable brittleness of PVC-C sleeves, rough handling and strong impacts should be avoided. For CPVC high-voltage power pipes, a matching bracket structure can be used to lay and fix the power pipe and communication optical cable protection pipe simultaneously, effectively utilizing underground pipe network resources. The bracket is made of toughened modified polypropylene, which has good flexibility and high strength. The connection uses dovetail grooves and pins, ensuring reliable connection and quick installation.
The backfill material should have good heat dissipation and solid-state stability. It is recommended to use clean river sand with a diameter not exceeding 5mm. Each layer of sleeve should be manually compacted in layers; multiple layers should not be backfilled all at once. Domestic waste, organic matter, etc., are prohibited for backfilling. The backfill material should exceed the top sleeve by 200-300mm before mechanical compaction.
