The biggest advantage of CPVC water supply pipes is their high temperature resistance. If the raw materials used to form the CPVC pipe contain a large proportion of graphite filler, it can also be used as a heat-conducting pipe. The application of this type of pipe in China has only begun in recent years, mainly used in hot and cold water supply, thermochemical solution transportation, and waste liquid conveying pipelines. The maximum long-term service temperature can reach 120 degrees Celsius, and the lifespan is up to 40 years.
CPVC water supply pipes hold the world record for chlorinated polyvinyl chloride water supply pipes, based on the maximum water pressure value achieved in the international standard ISO 15877-1 test.
CPVC water supply pipes have a chlorine content of 64%-70%, a glass transition temperature of 115℃, a long-term service temperature of 82℃-100℃, and a service life of up to 40 years. They are resistant to acids, alkalis, salts, oxidants, and high-temperature corrosion, and have high tensile strength. They have excellent flame retardant properties, do not produce dripping or toxic gases when burning, have a limiting oxygen index of 60, and are self-extinguishing.
