Models by Pressure Rating: The pressure rating of gas-coated steel pipes is one of the key indicators for selection. Common models include PN1.6MPa, PN2.5MPa, and PN4.0MPa. PN1.6MPa is suitable for medium and low-pressure gas pipelines, such as household pipes in residential areas; PN2.5MPa is mostly used in urban medium-pressure pipeline networks; and PN4.0MPa is suitable for high-pressure transmission scenarios, such as long-distance gas transmission trunk lines.
Classification by Diameter: In terms of diameter, flanged plastic-coated steel pipes are available in various specifications such as DN100, DN150, and DN200. DN100 is commonly used for gas pipelines in residential buildings and small commercial buildings; DN200 and above are suitable for large-scale municipal projects or industrial gas pipelines. The selection should be based on the actual transmission flow rate and pipe diameter requirements.
Classification by Coating Material: The coating materials for plastic-coated steel pipes are mainly polyethylene (PE) and epoxy resin (EP). PE coatings offer good flexibility and chemical resistance, making them suitable for humid or highly corrosive environments; EP coatings, on the other hand, have strong adhesion and high mechanical strength, and are often used in applications requiring high coating performance. When selecting a model, the characteristics of the transported medium must be considered to choose the appropriate coating.
Purchase Considerations: In addition to model parameters, the flange connection standard must also be considered. Common standards include national standard flanges (GB/T) and chemical industry standard flanges (HG/T). These must match the flange model at the equipment end to avoid incompatibility issues during installation. Furthermore, the thickness of the plastic coating is also important; it is generally recommended to choose products with a coating thickness ≥0.3mm to ensure corrosion resistance and service life.
