A PVDF ball valve is a ball valve made of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), belonging to the category of polymer valves. PVDF material possesses excellent corrosion resistance, chemical stability, and high-temperature resistance, with an operating temperature range typically from -40℃ to 140℃.
Ball valves were invented in the 1950s. With the rapid development of science and technology and continuous improvements in production processes and product structures, they have rapidly developed into a major type of valve in just 40 years.
The birth and application of ball valves: In industrialized Western countries, the use of ball valves is steadily increasing. In my country, ball valves are widely used in petroleum refining, long-distance pipelines, ultrapure water, metallurgical pickling, electronics, semiconductors, chemicals, shipbuilding, chlor-alkali, pharmaceuticals, and environmental protection. Among these, PVDF ball valves, due to their corrosion resistance, are particularly suitable for the transportation and control of corrosive media such as strong acids, strong alkalis, and oxidants in chemical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, power, bioengineering, and food industries, and are applied in multiple industrial sectors.
