Plastic gate valves are characterized by strong corrosion resistance, light weight, and hygienic non-toxicity. Their applications span chemical industries, electroplating plants, food and beverage industries, pharmaceutical industries, semiconductor manufacturing plants, water treatment and environmental protection, light industry and textiles, papermaking, and agricultural irrigation. Specific applications include acid and alkali solution transportation in metal processing and electroplating plants; bleaching, dyeing, and acid/alkali solution pipelines in textile and tanneries; electrostatic ionization water treatment systems in semiconductor manufacturing plants; and factory water supply, distribution, and cooling water pipeline systems. Common applications also include swimming pool and hot spring pipelines; chlorine injection systems for water supply and sewage treatment; aluminum and caustic alkali solution pipeline systems in pulp and paper manufacturing; and irrigation for golf courses, agriculture, and greenhouses.

When selecting a model, the material should be chosen according to the corrosiveness of the medium. PVDF or PTFE are recommended for strong acid and alkali media, while PVC and PP can be used for weakly corrosive media. The specifications must also be determined according to the operating temperature and pressure. PVDF should be used for high-temperature conditions, while PVC can be used for low-pressure conditions. Exceeding temperature and pressure limits is strictly prohibited. In addition, select the valve type according to functional requirements. Gate valves are suitable for flow regulation, while ball valves or butterfly valves can be considered if rapid shut-off is required.

During installation, the flange bolts at both ends should be tightened evenly. Plastic gate valves should not be used in compressed air or compressed gas applications. Apply force smoothly during operation, and tighten in the reverse direction after full opening for reinforcement. Avoid direct sunlight during long-term storage to prevent the plastic material from aging and becoming brittle.
